On a dare, I registered for National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo, an annual 30-day challenge to write a 50,000-word story.
Who knew that's what it would take to get me to write? After years of procrastination and writer's block, words appeared on the page.
At the end of the month, I had written my very first book. After months of painful editing, my debut novel, The Ancestors' Key, was published in March 2020, just as COVID hit in Quebec, Canada.
The story wasn't finished! I registered for Camp NaNoWriMo, a less structured event held twice yearly, in April and July. While I was working on the audiobook for The Ancestors’ Key, I began its compelling sequel, The Academy, which was published in June 2020.
July saw me writing the third book, The Time Walker, in what was now called The Evers Series, which was published in August 2020. Book Four, The World Jumper, and the series' conclusion was the focus of my NaNoWriMo project for that year’s coming November. It was released in December 2020.
All the audiobooks for The Evers Series are now available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.
In 2021, I wrote a stand-alone book called Clarity Castle and a Short Story Anthology called What Happens Next? Readers Decide Which Story Becomes a Book. I also wrote a series of Picture Books for kids 3 to 7 called Fairy Grandmother.
I recently wrote and published a new series within the same fantastical universe as The Evers Series called the Blood Magick Trilogy.
