The Children; New Beginnings (Book 3)

Like a phoenix rising from the smoldering ashes of their ruined past, the Winters brothers face an uphill battle as they carve out a new beginning for their group of survivors!

Dillon Winters and the survivors he gathered must reevaluate their lives after finding a temporary place to shelter while they consider their options. While facing an uncertain future, they discover a spark of hope. Forging ahead with the desire to start anew, they search for the missing members of their group and stumble across a kidnapping ring. Unwilling to leave any of his people behind, Dillon hatches a crazy rescue plan. But can the group pull it off?

The survivors learn of a possible safe haven in Colorado and must choose whether to stay in Kansas and rebuild their compound, or trust that the people in Colorado are who they claim to be. With a split decision, the survivors break into two groups and go their separate ways.

One person strikes out on their own to search for answers about the kidnappings, running into more than he bargained for. Dillon is forced to risk his life to set things right while placing his trust in the one person who wants him dead.

As if this isn’t enough, a mission to scavenge supplies is fraught with danger as the infected attack and a new threat emerges, putting everyone’s lives in danger. With enemies coming out of the woodwork, things don’t look promising for the survivors as they restart their lives the best they can while defending it against the infected children, gangs, kidnappers, and the unknown.

Dillon begins doubting his decisions as his heart becomes hardened by the realities of the new world. With everything going on, he has little time to dwell on the loss of his daughter, but a surprise announcement terrifies him as he realizes humanity’s future is still at stake.
