The Eye of the Crow

Bishop Michael felt that I needed a rest, and a period of recuperation, after my recent exploits. That sounded good to me right up to the point that a fortnight on retreat, in the borders of Scotland, with a Franciscan order was on offer. I had thought two weeks in the sun was more what I needed.

After a quick call this morning I am driving north to Perth, happy at avoiding the retreat. New orders and I am to help the Bishop of Perth who, it would appear, has had a little bit of a breakdown.

As with everything in my life these days, all is not as it would seem.
