Susan Walton is married now, and her husband, John Stanton, decides to look for oil on his land. But the oil industry is new, and there are criminals in drilling, and delivering oil to the buyers. But the most fearsome adversary is the robber baron, John Rockefeller, who exploited the refineries and colluded with the railroads to get a monopoly in the booming oil business. John and Susan will get into the middle of this all with the oil finding on their land.
