Born and raised in Adkins Valley, this mountain village has been my home for as long as I can remember. Predictable as the sun, our sleepy town hasn’t changed in years. We’re so far off the beaten track that most people drive past us without even knowing it. That is until he came along. He’s nothing but a money-hungry land shark with plans to buy us out, so he can build a fancy resort complete with high-end shops. He says it’ll be good for us in the long run. I say he should crawl back under the rock he came from.

Making money is what I do best. So when I stumble across the town of Adkins Valley, I see an opportunity that I can’t pass up. Mountains resorts are all the rage, and this place would be the perfect site for one. But first, I have to convince the locals to sell, which is more complicated than it looks. Especially when she makes her presence known. She says that she won’t go without a fight. I say let the battle begin.
