Amanda-Jane Bayliss (West Yorkshire, England) started her writing career in October 2020 and daily she would publish her work on a small community poetry forum. However she soon started to believe that her work deserved a wider audience.
In February 2021 she started to reach out to worldwide publishers and to date she has had around 40 pieces of poetry published around the globe. It is safe to say that the pen-name Amanda-Jane Bayliss as a welcoming place on coffee tables, in living rooms of every continent, all around the world.
In her first year Amanda-Jane has had several highlights the biggest is her most recent self publication of her first poetry collection “Desired Dreams”. “Desired Dreams is a lovely easy read that has a strong nature theme that is inspired by walks in her local countryside.
Other highlights include reading her poem “Once Upon A Time” at Yorkshire's biggest poetry festival. Her poem was in remembrance of Lewis Carroll. Amanda-Jane was also invited to read in Texas, USA. However due to the pandemic she was unable to travel to America.
Amanda-Jane features in the 2021 edition of the "who's Who of Emerging Writers". She is quoted to be an inspiration and this is the message that she wants to set out for her son, the pupils she works with and anyone who as a dream.
Amanda-Jane’s other highlights include “Lifeless Lemon” her short story of 20 words winning first place in a writing contest hosted by Raconteur Literary Magazine.
Three pieces of Amanda-Jane’s Halloween poems were chosen by the local radio station to be read by a professional speaker over his spooky ghostly music.
Recently she has been approached to write personal poetry for friends and family.
